Waterfall Creek

Standing upon the bridge

As my children troll beneath,

The water falls between us,

Through the earth, and all of time.

Water from the indigenous past.

Water in bear, coyote, owl, and deer.

Water In the fern, the moss,

Trees, and berries.

Swelling wet,

Within a blue drop,

Against the black

Speckled space.

We are only but for water

Floating and falling through

This waterfall creek, as I stand above

And my children troll beneath.
